Vertical systems or butterfly-wing constructions are ideal for green roofs and biodiversity areas. Elevated – either straight or wing-shaped – they are weighted down with concrete slabs, reservoirs, or water retention mats, and combined with extensive greening. Existing roofs can also be fitted with these systems in strips.
